2020 Alright folks, this is a major story that hasn’t gotten nearly enough attention. Newly released grand jury transcripts from the Georgia election interference investigation show that senior Republicans privately knew the 2020 election was fair—and that Donald Trump lost. Yet publicly, they played along with his lies.
According to transcripts obtained by The New York Times, Senator Lindsey Graham admitted under oath that Trump was so delusional he’d believe the election was stolen by “Martians” if told so. Graham also confirmed he repeatedly told Trump he lost, called the fake elector scheme “weird,” and acknowledged there was no fraud.
Georgia officials like Governor Brian Kemp and Attorney General Chris Carr also testified they saw no evidence supporting Trump’s claims and told him the only legal path was the courts—where he failed again and again.
Despite knowing the truth, these Republicans went on TV, fueled conspiracy theories, and enabled Trump’s efforts to overturn democracy. This is pure political cowardice—frauds who told the truth only when forced under oath.
