BREAKING: BLUE WAVE! Trump gets crushing news as Virginia House Democrats pass a constitutional amendment to redistrict and “decimate” the Republican seats in their state.

MAGA really kicked the hornet’s nest with their gerrymandering…

“Virginia House Democrats just took essential action to safeguard our democracy and push back against Republicans’ power grabs,” stated Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee President Heather Williams.

“We know Republicans continue to scheme ways to steal seats and elections, and the redistricting fight will be won or lost in state legislatures,” she continued. “Our democracy can only be secured by Democrats winning more majorities, and the DLCC’s 2026 target map identifies the path to make gains and protect our democracy.”

Politico described the Democratic plan as one to “decimate GOP seats.” Currently, Virginia has six Democrats in Congress and five Republicans. If this redistricting succeeds, three or four seats could shift blue.

This is the second time that the amendment has passed and now it will head for a vote in the Democratically-controlled Senate. If successful there, it will then be put to a vote by Virginians, likely allowing the new map to take effect before the crucial midterm elections in November.

The amendment allows the state legislature to redraw the map if another state conducts mid-decade redistricting for reasons other than compliance with a court order or the census. Since Republicans across the country are currently scrambling to give Trump more seats to shore up his power, the amendment would be triggered.

“Not for one second has Donald Trump laid down arms in this redistricting manufactured war that he created,” said John Bisognano, President of the National Democratic Redistricting Committee.

Trump himself started this redistricting arms race when he pressured Texas Republicans to gerrymander their state and dilute the votes of Black and Latino citizens in order to entrench his own power in Congress. Now, he’s reaping what he sowed.
